Casey Smith has over 10 years of experience in engineering geology, focusing on evaluating geologic conditions for numerous projects in California.
Smith holds a Level I Rope Access Technician Certification from the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) and provides rope access for inspecting, installing instrumentation, and performing evaluations of rockfall hazards and rock slopes. He has performed condition and geohazard assessments of countless dams, spillways, penstocks, and hydroelectric tunnels for the purposes of identification and prioritization of maintenance and repairs. These projects have included condition assessments, geologic mapping, subsurface explorations, rock mass characterization, landslide and rockfall assessments, instrumentation installation and monitoring, engineering design of mitigation measures, and construction support.
